Facebook introduces Free Voice Call Service in Messenger!

9:03 PM

Facebook seems determined enough to increase its user rankings by introducing new services this year. After its Graph search surprise, it is now the addition of Voice call feature in its messenger. According to the latest statistics, Facebook recently lost about 1 Million of its users and the best way the team came across was to make the social networking site a must-to-have place to make an account. It was only few hours back that Facebook finally added the voice call ability in its messenger app. The feature is taken open hands by the users as the calls are completely free.

Facebook Free Voice Call Requirements

If you are a frequent messenger user, you must have noticed the change in your app by now. With a calling option now available, you need to be a citizen of U.S as the service is limited to U.S currently and an iPhone. It is obvious that in order to connect the call, the recipient must also have a Facebook’s Messenger app in his phone.

How To call Friends?

The feature is automatically added in the Facebook Messenger of eligible users who can find the call option in the contact info of the friend they wish to call if that friend’s messenger supports the option. The call can be connected through a direct connection or through a wifi just like other web-based applications

Facebook Voice Call alternatives

Facebook would have been earning really huge if it would have launched this feature two years back. However, these days when smartphones have already taken the market, the applications for voice calls are doing great. Taking an example of Viber or Skype, all you need to do is to download these free apps from the store and enjoy calling a huge list of friends free of cost without any limitations.
You can also share your images, audios, videos and much more through these apps which is somehow not exactly what Facebook Messenger offers you at the moment.

What Makes Facebook Voice Feature undesirable?

Facebook is growing insanely fast and so its popularity. However, Facebook’s latest features are bias enough to be available in U.S only, keeping the rest of the world deprived of it. Secondly, the feature is only available for iPhone users, that means no Samsung Galaxy or Xperia users even in U.S cannot avail the opportunity.
We hope to see this feature getting available though out the world, having a little more leniency with its policies.

  2. Howdy this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with
HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
